An End of Therapy Report is a written document prepared by your therapist at the conclusion of your therapeutic support. Each report is tailored to the individual and provides an insightful summary of the support provided, helping clients transition smoothly as therapy ends.
End of Therapy Reports serve multiple purposes, all centred around offering closure and creating a clear record of your therapeutic experience. Here’s why they are written:
Why you sought therapy and the challenges identified
The therapeutic approach and strategies used during sessions.
A summary of sessions and recurring themes.
Practical advice and next steps to support ongoing health and wellbeing.
An end of therapy report is more than just a document; it’s a valuable resource:
The cost of an End of Therapy Report is proportional to the cost of your sessions. This reflects the time and detail involved in creating a personalised report. Reports are charged at 1.5 hours of your therapist’s rate. Below you can see some session costs and their associated report cost.
End of Therapy Reports are written to benefit clients. If you don’t find value in receiving one, you can opt out of this service. Before sessions begin, as part of our payment agreement we ask clients whether they would like to receive an End of Therapy Report. However, you can opt in or out of receiving one at any time during your sessions by emailing hello@inspirewellbeingservices.co.uk.
Inspire Wellbeing Services do not share the End of Therapy Report with any third parties unless expressly requested by the client.
For work with children and young people, End of Therapy Reports are generally shared directly with the parent or carer paying for the service. However, where the service is provided to a young adult it may be more appropriate for the report to be shared with them directly. When a therapist is working with a child or young person, they will know towards the end of the work if an End of Therapy Report is to be written. Often the child or young person will be asked if they want to contribute and/or if there are things they do not want to be shared with their parent or carer.
